Hey all,
Thanks so much for joining us this weekend if you were able to make it out. From our end it was definitely an adventure as a series of things were thrown into chaos from start to finish. Hopefully it held together well enough through the monsoon to make for a good time.
The rain disabled 3 handheld Seiko timers and rendered our larger "master" time machine unable to print at about 1:53 into the race. We still have our fingers crossed that the machines will dry out and that we can find a way to pull the #'s/times back out of its memory. In the meantime, if you timed yourself and have your time, let us know and we'll get that up until we can get the official ones. In any case we've already committed to go the chip-timing route for 2011 to stave this off in the future.
For those that joined us for the inaugural 13.4 mile running, the course was measured this year at 13.12 miles, so the full distance was accurate. Our mile splits were a bit off in places, something we were trying to correct during the race but that may have been a little bit off for the leaders. We'll look toward more permanent stakes along the trail in the off-season before year 3's running.
If you're interested in a tech T-shirt let us know the gender and size you're hoping for and I can look toward a print-run. They most likely will be $15 and would be about 4-6 weeks out.
Thanks so much and we'll continue to update the RESULTS as we're able.
Ian and Dustin
